The South Australian Pet Therapy Dog Registry (TDSInc) fulfills a critical role within the animal-assisted interventions industry - as will your involvement in the Association.

The primary aims and functions of the (Pet) Therapy Dog Registry are: -

  • To provide a single unified voice for the animal-assisted interventions industry.

  • To provide a consistent Code of Ethics and set of AAI Standards for teams.

  • To assess, review and approve AAI team education courses and workshops.

  • To maintain a national register of practicing AAI Teams

  • To lobby on behalf of its membership to government and industry for the betterment of the AAI profession.

  • To make the general public at large more aware of the AAI profession and the availability of reputable teams

  • To create industry placement opportunities for our member's participation in industry environments.

  • To create placement opportunities for our members wherever possible

Volunteer membership is an important pathway to demonstrate affiliation and engagement within the industry. Holding a volunteer membership with Therapy Dog Registry demonstrates to organisations that offer community therapy dog placements a commitment to meeting and upholding industry standards.

Animal Assisted Therapist

A registered therapist has graduated from an accredited course of study in allied health including (AAI) Animal Assisted Interventions at specific levels.

For a list of accredited courses please contact us. 

  • Level 1      $280.00 per annum

  • Level 2     $300.00 per annum

  • Level 3     $320.00 per annum

  • Level 4     $340.00 per annum

  • Academic Membership $250.00 per annum
